Who am I

My name is Flavio Bossotto, I’m an FCI instructor and Mountain Bike Guide, born in Turin, Italy.

For me, being an MTB guide means creating unforgettable experiences for people who are passionate about this sport, making the most of my deep knowledge of the territory.

It’s not a job — it’s a passion. I define myself as a “bike enthusiast”: I love every aspect of this sport. Every time I discover a new discipline, product, or side of mountain biking, I fall in love with it. Over time, I’ve learned different riding styles: gravity, slopestyle, freeride, BMX, bike mountaineering…

It’s amazing because I believe every discipline makes you more prepared for the others — they’re all complementary and connected.

I love seeing people happy, carefree, and stoked on the trails — that’s my goal every single day. But I know that to achieve this, you need the right trail selection for each rider, the right vibes, and a strong sense of responsibility. I talk about responsibility because every rider is different, and each one has their own strengths and weaknesses. I want every rider to feel comfortable. I don’t want to put pressure on anyone, and I don’t expect specific results — instead, I want to encourage them and help them overcome their fears when I see their technical potential but their mindset is holding them back.

I want to know their preferred trail style to meet their expectations, but at the same time I want to surprise them with completely new terrain and trails. That’s my job.

After high school, I tried to start what seemed like a very sensible career path in IT. But after only two years, my passion for mountain biking took over. Now I spend my days immersed in nature and on the trails of the Finale Outdoor Region, collaborating with the company Finale Freeride.

Spending so much time on my MTB has helped me develop a strong sensitivity and deep knowledge of all the components I interact with: bike behavior, brake performance, clothing quality, protection gear — of course, I still make mistakes sometimes too!

Over time, I’ve met and built friendships with interesting people from all over the world, each with their own story to tell. It’s easy for me to build authentic and healthy relationships when we share the same passion for MTB and love for nature. Combined with my profession, this makes me a true point of reference within the community.
